God has a plan for your life. You were created for an eternal purpose. (Prov 16:9, Jer 29:11, Eph 1:9, Eph 2:10)
The bible tells us that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. This is because Adam and Eve ate the fruit that God told them not to, they rebelled against God. Once they disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden, sin entered the world and from then on everyone else was born with sin, the spirit of disobedience was in their hearts. This can easily be seen in any child today. They don't want to share, they hit and throw fits and want their own way. They are expressing their sinful nature that they were born with. Because we've sinned we cannot be in the presence of God, who is perfect and cannot look on sin. The consequences of sin is death. (Rom 3:23, Rom 5:12, Hab 1:13, Rom 6:23)
But God made a way for man to be reconciled to Him, a way to be forgiven of all his sins, once and for all. Knowing that your sins are forgiven brings a newness to life, a freedom that few experience. When a believer dies, he can live with God for eternity in a wonderful place prepared for him by God called heaven. Our life here is as a vapor of smoke yet in heaven we shall live for eternity with our Creator, our Heavenly Father. (Rom 6:23, Col 1:20, Mat 25:34, 1 Pet 1:4, Acts 2:19, Matt 25:46, John 3:15)
To pay the debt for our sin, He sent Jesus His only Son to be tortured for our healing and to be crucified in our place for our sins. He who was perfect and without sin was made a sacrifice for us, so that once and for all the price for sin was taken care of. Before Christ, God's people sacrificed animals to cover their sins year after year but when Jesus went to the cross it was finished, He paid the price once and for all. (Rom 5:15, 1 Pet 2:24, Heb 4:15, Lev 4:3, John 17:4, John 19:30, John 10:28)
You might ask why God would send people who don't accept Jesus as their sacrifice to hell. The truth is He doesn't. Imagine a person standing on a railroad track. If they stay there they will die when the train comes along. But God walks up and says "Take My hand, I can save you". But they refuse. Is it God's fault that they refused His help? Certainly not. He has given every man a free will, He is not a puppet master and will never force you to do anything you don't want to do. We must come to Him willingly. We can see that the man died because of his own decision. Hell is the same way. You can sum it up by saying "you'll reap what you sow". People who sow into sinful lifestyles their whole life rejecting God's plan or salvation will go to hell. God did not put them there. They chose to go there on their own accord by rejecting their Maker. He is just, He has given everyone the opportunity to know His Son and accept his sacrifice for their sins before they die. (Luke 13:3, 2 Pet 3:9, Rom 10:13, James 1:4, John 3:16, Matt 25:32, Prov 22;8, Romans 1:20)
So to accept what God has provided for you through His Son Jesus Christ all you have to do is believe that he died for your sins and that He rose again from the dead, conquering sin and death forever. What good is a Savior if He's still dead. That's the best part. He rose again victorious and whole. Hell and death could not keep Him. And now, we too, can have complete victory through Him. (Rom 10:9, Rev 1:18, Matt 16:19)
He is so loving that once you accept Him as your Savior all of His promises will apply to you. You are promised heaven, healing, that all of your needs will be met and so much more. The bible says if we believe in our heart and confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord He is faithful to forgive us of all unrighteousness. If you have done that you are now a child of the Most High God, a joint heir with Jesus Christ. You have authority over ALL the ability of the enemy and you have been blessed with every spiritual blessing. God has said every good thing He can ever say about you and your name is now written in the book of Life. God has declared you righteous, in right standing with Him and translated you into the kingdom of His Son. (2Cor 1:20, Phil 4:19, Matt 6:14, Luke 6:37, 1 John 1:9, Gal 4:7, Rom 8:17, Luke 10:19, Eph 1:3, Rev 13:8, Rom 3:22, Col 1:13)
Everything is different now. It's like a lost, deceived child has come home. And your parents are lavishing you with every good and perfect gift. I bet you can even feel it in your heart. Do you feel clean, lighter, more alive? That's God's Holy Spirit that He sent to live inside of you. He will never leave you or forsake you, you are His and He's in you by His spirit. And what God has joined together no man can separate. Hallelujah! (2 Cor 5:17, Eph 1:3, Eph 1:8, 1 John 4:13, Heb 13:5, John 10:29, John 17:6, Matt 19:6)
You might have thought you had a good life before but that was nothing compared to what lies ahead of you now. You are now born again. Now all you need to do is get to know your Father. That's why He had men write the bible, so we could know Him and He could talk to us through His word. Start in James towards the back of the book in the New Testament. The New Testament was written after Jesus was born and gives an account of His time on earth. The Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke & John) are the first four books in the New Testament and would be good to read at some point, but James is perfect for new believers. (John 3:3, 1 Pet 1:23, 2 Tim 3:16)
You should also pray and talk to God everyday and remember you are working on a relationship not a dictatorship. When you pray believe, faith in God pleases God. Talk to God and learn also to listen to Him. He will speak directly to you. You should also find other believers to fellowship with and you should share your experience with others. So many people don't even know what you know and are standing on the train tracks just waiting for the train to come along and take them out. (Matt 5:44, Matt 6:5-9, Matt 26:41, Mark 11:24, Mark 14:38, John 10:27, Heb 3:15, Heb 10:25, Mark 11:24, Heb 11:6, Matt 17:20)
The bible also says that you should be baptized. Being baptized is a symbolic expression of being born again; since you cannot enter your mother’s womb for a second time you need to be immersed in water to symbolize your new birth. Once you've accepted Christ as your Savior, God's word says you are a new creation, one that has never been created before. What once was born of a corruptible seed is now born incorruptible. When your earthly body dies your spirit will live forever with its heavenly Father. (Matt 28:19, 2 Cor 5:17, 1 Pet 1:23, 2 Cor 5:1)
Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to let me know of your new birth so that I may rejoice with you and help you in any way possible. Friend you are not alone any longer. You have just been translated into the family of God. He has a big family, full of wonderful people just waiting to meet you and rejoice with you. Just remember it's not about religion, even Jesus blasted the religious fanatics, it's about a relationship, your relationship with your heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ.
Jesus said the greatest commandment in the kingdom of God is to love God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength and to love your neighbor as yourself. By doing this we have fulfilled all the commandments and please God. (Matt 22:37, 38, Mark 12:30, 31, Luke 10:27, 28)
Jesus told us how to recognize one who believed in Him. It wasn't by what they called themselves, by what they looked like or by what church they attended, He said, "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." Mark 16:17-18 And if that wasn't enough He also said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in My name, I will do it." John 14:12-14 With that said, do you call yourself a believer? Are you doing the things that Jesus did? If not you should be. It is possible. Ephesians 4:15 says we are supposed to grow up INTO Him, not just in Him, "But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into Him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:" Christ was the firstborn, we are the next born. We are supposed to be Jesus here and now to all we see. 1 John 4:17 "Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world." If you call yourself a believer that scripture is talking about you, here and now. The body must wake up and function as the head desires it to. Know who you are in Him and who He is in you and rock your world with His goodness. What are you waiting for? Go spread the Good News!
